Dragun Associates Earn Professional Designations

Congratulations to Dragun Associates, Katherine Rey, Andrew Tymec, and Khaled Chekiri, who have earned professional designations in 2014.

Environmental Professional

Katherine Rey was recently awarded the “Environmental Professional” Certification from the Canadian Environmental Certification Approvals Board (CECAB). The CECAB is responsible for overseeing the administration, evaluation, and approval of the Environmental Careers Organization (ECO), Canada’s certification of Environmental Professionals (EP). Katherine’s EP designation by ECO Canada is in Site Assessment and Reclamation.

Currently, Katherine works in Dragun’s field office in Cambridge, Ontario, where she assists clients with environmental site assessment and remediation efforts, site decommissioning, and other environmental sampling, permitting, and planning activities.

Katherine has worked for Dragun for more than six years and is a 2007 graduate of the University of Guelph, where she majored in Environmental Science.

Professional Engineers

Andrew Tymec was awarded his Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) licence earlier this year by Professional Engineers, Ontario. Established in 1922, Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is the licensing and regulating body for engineering in the province.

Andrew works in Dragun’s Windsor, Ontario, office where he assists clients with environmental assessment and remediation, as well as Toxic Substance Reduction Plans (TSRP), Environmental Activity & Sector Registry (EASR), Environmental Compliance Approvals, Designated Substance Survey, Mould evaluation/survey, and more.

Andrew has worked for Dragun for more than five years and is a 2008 graduate of the University of Waterloo, where he majored in Environmental Engineering.

Dr. Khaled Chekiri was awarded his Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) licence earlier this year by Professional Engineers, Ontario. Established in 1922, Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is the licensing and regulating body for engineering in the province.

Khaled works in the Windsor, Ontario, office and provides statistical analysis, vapour intrusion assessments, air permitting & modeling support, groundwater modeling, water discharge permitting, and environmental engineering support.

Dr. Chekiri has worked with Dragun for nearly 20 years and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Windsor in Environmental Engineering.
